Free, informative seminar will stress the importance of vision health.
It’s no secret that your eyesight is an essential part of your life and well-being. Can you even imagine just a small part of what you use your eyes for everyday?
Your eyes are very valuable indeed, but age and medical conditions can affect your eyesight and cause a variety of vision problems—some of which (macular degeneration for example) are serious. Fortunately, modern medicine provides many opportunities for preventing and helping to solve most vision afflictions.
As your partners in healthcare, Brigham City Community Hospital is pleased to offer our experts as your guides to maintaining good health. Scott Turner, MD, is an ophthalmologist associated with our hospital and an expert in his field. He will present a “Healthy Conversation” on March 5, 2013 at 6 p.m. to provide insight about the causes, prevention and treatment for problems with your eyes.
This program will be held at the Davis/Bott Building, 50 W. Forest St., in Brigham City. Pre-registration is required, and can be made by calling 435.734.4377. There is no cost to attend this presentation.
Dr. Turner will discuss:
- How your eye functions
- Proper care for your eyes
- Eye examinations
- Common vision problems
- Cataracts, macular degeneration and other problems
- Treatments and surgical options
Dr. Turner attended Medical School at St. Louis University and completed a residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is a certified member of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
You are invited to enjoy light refreshments during his presentation and we encourage you to linger after to speak with Dr. Turner.
